Pipe Foreperson

Qualifications:

  • Team player who is willing to lend a hand whenever assistance is required in order to get the job done
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage resources, equipment, and labour in order to forecast work planning needs and requirements in conjunction with site management expectations
  • Track quality of work performed and produce health & safety paperwork that better illustrates positive contributions and negative impacts
  • Inspect equipment regularly and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed
  • Ensure the safety of the crew, equipment, and environment
  • Ensure that work is completed during regular hours
  • May perform other duties as required

You must possess the following requirements to be considered for this role:

  • Two years’ experience in a foreperson role
  • Must have previous experience in a construction environment
  • Must possess and maintain a clean driver’s abstract and a valid G driver’s license
  • The ability to lift up to 50lbs, work at heights, be agile and able to get on/off equipment
  • Responsible for submitting daily and weekly reports and payroll information to Project Coordinator
  • Attend and participate in regular safety meetings and ensure company policies and government regulations are adhered to

Construction Superintendent

Qualifications:

  • Team player who is willing to lend a hand whenever assistance is required in order to get the job done
  • You possess a sense of urgency, are a problem solver and have exceptional costing and management skills
  • The ability to maintain project schedules and budgets as determined by the Site Management Team and Internal Stakeholders
  • Help in the preparation of budgets, critical path schedules and quality control programs
  • Monitor and maintain project schedules on a regular basis (generally weekly) and keep all Site Management team members and Stakeholders apprised of critical developments
  • Plan, coordinate and manage effectively all labour, material and equipment to meet the established budget, schedule and scope of the projects.
  • Attend meetings on-site and as necessary with Site Management
  • Fully understand and be familiar with all contract drawings and specifications in order to identify any errors, changes, omissions, cost-saving measures or potential construction issues.
  • Direct, manage and control trades, suppliers, utilities and any third parties to ensure work is undertaken in the proper sequence and in full compliance with the construction program.
  • Conduct activities in accordance with all company policies and procedures including safety and respecting the environment.
  • Attend and participate in regular safety meetings and ensure company policies and government regulations are adhered to
  • May perform other duties as required

You must possess the following requirements to be considered for this role:

  • A minimum of 5 years of construction and project management experience as a Construction Superintendent
  • Must possess and maintain a clean driver’s abstract and a valid G driver’s license
  • Technical training in civil engineering or CET is an asset
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional planning and organization skills with the ability to manage several projects with competing priorities
  • Able to work under pressure to meet firm budgets and tight deadlines
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, owners and consultants
  • Trained and certified in all aspects of construction safety is an asset
  • Able to represent the company in a professional and respectful manner
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective and confident team leader
  • Proficient in MS-Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of MS-Project
  • Excellent organizational ability to multi-task

Gradeperson with GPS Experience

Qualifications:

  • Team player who is willing to lend a hand whenever assistance is required in order to get the job done
  • Demonstrate the ability to check the grade of roadways using manual and laser methods while meeting work planning needs and requirements in conjunction with site management expectations
  • Conduct surveys which may include topographical, right-of-ways and construction layout
  • Collect, organize and present data
  • Prepare concise and accurate field notes, records and calculations
  • Ensure quality assurance, safety and policy compliance
  • Work with legal and engineering plans
  • May perform other duties as required

You must possess the following requirements to be considered for this role:

  • Must have previous experience in a construction environment
  • Must possess and maintain a clean driver’s abstract and a valid G driver’s license
  • Experience using traditional survey equipment, total stations and GPS
  • Excellent organizational ability to multi-task
  • Work well under pressure
  • May be required to work overtime
  • Attend and participate in regular safety meetings and ensure company policies and government regulations are adhered to
  • Report incidents immediately to foreman or site management in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company

Excavator & Loader Operator

Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently to perform activities such as excavations, backfilling, trenching, ditching, slope work, erosion control, grubbing, stumping, clearing, fine grading and final clean up in an outdoor construction setting
  • Communicate any irregularities in soil conditions and material to the Foreman
  • Observe condition of equipment and materials used to ensure company standards are met and promptly report any possible problem or defect
  • Demonstrate a positive company image by acting politely, taking care not to disturb area outside the project limits
  • Observe hand signals, grade stakes or other markings when operating machines to maintain project specifications
  • Attend and participate in regular safety meetings and ensure company policies and government regulations are adhered to
